Music on the Farm 2024 Recap

On April 17, supporters gathered on the lawn at The Land Trust for Tennessee’s Glen Leven Farm for an evening of music and celebration under the stars featuring Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway. Guests came together to support the work of The Land Trust for Tennessee, protecting land important to the people of Tennessee for future generations.

The lawn off the historic home was transformed into a springtime celebration with farm tables, string lights, and spring blooms. The evening’s décor was inspired by the invitation and creative by Tenn Hens Design. Guests enjoyed cocktails and a southern-style dinner provided by Flavor Catering while they mingled and enjoyed the grounds before the show.

As the sun set, 15-year-old mandolinist Wyatt Ellis opened the show and proved why he’s currently one of the most-watched young musicians in bluegrass music. Headliner and Grammy Award-winning artist Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway then took to the stage, filling the air with the bright sounds of bluegrass music rooted in her virtuosic guitar playing.

“Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway is an incredibly accomplished name in bluegrass music and we are so grateful for the band’s generosity,” said Liz McLaurin, President and CEO of The Land Trust for Tennessee. “Many of the themes in her songs relate to a connection to the landscape, which aligns perfectly with the mission of The Land Trust for Tennessee.”

The show included hits such as “Take the Journey,” “El Dorado,” and “Bury Me Beneath the Willow Tree,” which was featured on the The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes soundtrack. Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway brought Wyatt Ellis back out to play with their band, which the crowd loved. Molly thanked The Land Trust for Tennessee and encouraged guests to support the organization’s work.
