Kate BarnesCommunications Manager

Kate Barnes serves as Communications Manager for The Land Trust for Tennessee. She is responsible for giving a voice to the mission of the organization. She manages The Land Trust’s media relationships and communications efforts.

A Nashville native, Kate attended Southern Methodist University where she earned her degree in corporate communications and public relations with a minor in international affairs. Professionally, she has worked with a variety of organizations to define and deliver on their commitment to a social good from family foundations to multi-national organizations.

After work, Kate can be found hiking in Percy Warner Park with her family and four dogs. From the symphony to the river, she enjoys the Nashville way of life and is proud to call the city home.

I was lucky to grow up in Tennessee. I’ve never taken for granted the places that make it beautiful or the history that gives it significance. Every bit is worth protecting.
