Amanda ClellandCommunications Manager
As Communications Manager, Amanda Clelland is tasked with telling the story of The Land Trust to grow appreciation and support for the organization’s work to protect Tennessee’s natural landscape and history. She is the primary point of contact for members of the media and oversees the organization’s social media, website, and communications strategy.
A native of Pittsburgh, PA, Amanda moved to Tennessee in 2001 to earn her undergraduate degree in English at Middle Tennessee State University. She later completed her graduate studies in Communication and Public Relations through Southern New Hampshire University in 2016.
Amanda has worked in Nashville’s non-profit and public sectors for the past decade, supporting the state-wide communications work of the Tennessee State Employees Association to their membership and elected officials in the Tennessee State Legislature. Most recently, Amanda was responsible for overseeing the external communications strategy and handling media and crisis relations for public transit service throughout Nashville and Middle Tennessee as the Public Information Officer for WeGo Public Transit. She is also an avid supporter of a number of local non-profits. Most recently, she served on the Junior Board Committee for the YWCA Nashville and Middle Tennessee, and is a VOICES Committee member to advocate for survivors of domestic violence with the Metro Office for Family Safety.
In her free time, Amanda enjoys spending her time hiking, reading about medieval history, spending time with her loved ones, and exploring Nashville’s incredible food scene.
