POSTPONED: Weed Wrangle® at Glen Leven Farm – March 7, 2020
March 7 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Update from 3/5/2020: In light of this week’s devastating storms, we are postponing our Weed Wrangle volunteer event scheduled for Saturday, March 7, at The Land Trust for Tennessee’s Glen Leven Farm. We encourage all of those who were signed up to help us at the farm to visit Hands On Nashville and Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee to find ways to become involved in the recovery efforts happening this weekend. We will see you out in the community! Please check back for future volunteer opportunities at Glen Leven Farm.
Join us for a morning of ridding The Land Trust for Tennessee’s Glen Leven Farm of invasive weeds as part of a city-wide volunteer day! We are partnering with Weed Wrangle® Nashville to eliminate invasive plants from the property in support of sustainable land management practices. By engaging our neighbors and challenging them to take action in their own spaces, we hope to create a movement that will have the greatest impact on the invasive plant population in the Nashville area.
- Register to volunteer through Hands On Nashville.
- Volunteers must be 18+ (12+ with an adult)
- Dress for the weather and please wear closed-toe shoes, long sleeves, and long pants.
- Bring a water bottle with you and be prepared to have some fun while getting dirty!
