DESCRIPTION:Just 10 minutes south of Nashville\, The Land Trust for Tennessee’s Glen Leven Farm offers a unique opportunity to get outdoors close to the city. One Saturday a month\, we host Community Days\, a free event where you can explore all 64 acres of this historic Nashville landscape. \nThis month\, The Land Trust for Tennessee will be hosting guided tours of our certified arboretum at Glen Leven Farm at 10AM and 11AM. Glen Leven Farm features over 25 different species of trees and shrubs\, all labeled for public enjoyment and education. Guests will have the opportunity to explore one of the largest masses of American Yellowwood in the United States\, along with a remarkable collection that includes a White Ash\, Basswood\, American Beech\, Dogwood\, Ginkgo\, Black Walnut\, Sugar Maple\, Chinkapin Oak\, Shingle Oak\, Pecan\, and Hedge Maple- each recognized as past winners of the Nashville Tree Foundation’s Big Old Tree Contest. \nGuests are also welcome to enjoy the arboretum at their own pace with a self-guided tour available at any time. Trail Maps\, an easy-to-use mobile app can be downloaded to provide a guided experience right from your phone as you explore. During your visit\, explore the scenic property and take in the beauty of the nature trail\, open fields\, forests\, and Brown’s Creek.
